Boys will be boys . . .

Notice anything on that precious little baby there? Yep, our little Colt is bearing the marks of a nice little fall off the porch. A week ago Sunday, Colt and Cagan had just headed outside to play when Cagan came running back in announcing that Colt had fallen off the porch. When the usually tough little guy kept crying for a while and refused to use his arm, we decided we'd better make that dreaded trip to the ER. Sure enough, it was broken, but fortunately, it was only a buckle fracture, a kind of bend in the bone. He was a trooper, though. Except for the first night, he only cried right after it happened. He didn't want to be messed with at the ER, but still let them do x-rays and didn't cry, even for a second.
He got his first cast last Thursday, but we've already had to have another one put on, as he slid the other one right off his arm Monday morning! It was kind of fortunate that he was able to get another one, though. The first thing he did on Thursday after we got home was get into the water, and, on Friday, stuck it down in the dog water at a friend's house. It had already gotten really filthy, but how can it not? Oh, and he also earned a trip to the dentist for the tooth he chipped when he fell. He let that ole dentist do whatever he wanted (he just looked), mainly because he was so shocked at the little boy screaming in the chair next to him. What a distraction!
Poor thing, though, his middle name is "clumsy" right now. We showed up at the doctor's office with a week-old knot on his forehead, and then while in the doctor's office, he fell and bit a hunk out of his cheek! It never ends with this one. Right now, every injury, including the skinned knee he's had for a couple of weeks, is because "I fall off the porch." (You just have to hear the way he says that!!)
Well, I have more to post, but preferrably with pics. I'll try to get caught up before I leave, so talk to you soon!
