Rain, Rain . . . Here to stay?

Well, we have been blessed the last couple of months with rain. The wheat crop is absolutely the most beautiful I've ever seen. I need to get the boys out in the middle of it and take some pictures while it's still green. It'll be time to harvest soon, and it will all be gone.

We've also had our fair share of bad weather, too. On April 21, 22 tornadoes swept through the Panhandle, leaving lots of destruction in their paths, especially at Tulia and Cactus. Please keep those people in your prayers as they try to put their lives and homes back together. We had our own tornado scare here at the house, but, thankfully, we are all safe and there was minimal damage.

This week Cagan and Colt are visiting grandparents, and the house is relatively quiet. However, if I thought life would be any less busy with them gone, I was mistaken. So much for catching up on cleaning and laundry (although I did have all of the kids clothes clean on Monday-didn't last long, though). Coley has practice, baseball, soccer, or gymnastics every night this week. I'm so glad the baseball and soccer seasons only last a month!

"But Mommy, you didn't say anything about the mud!!" This is a picture I took last week after I told Cagan and Colt to stay out of the water. You can't tell much, but you can't see their legs, socks, or shoes for the mud! They did the very same thing the next day, but fortunately, I wised up and put play clothes on them that day! They were completely covered then. It's going to be a long, muddy summer!

Well, hope you all have a great week! God bless!
